Our July Dialogue with Mr Murali Menon from the KFI Study Centre (Valley School) was another roaring success. Mr Menon drew upon the students' experiences and thoughts about friendship in order to frame questions for dialogue. Students opened up in the circle time and lowered their defences to speak about some of the troubles they had faced while trying to make friends. Making friends is evidently a natural process, humans being highly social creatures -- and yet, in this 21st century with the age of technology gaining ground, face to face time is valued less than screen time. Children find it very difficult to juggle the two worlds. Once again, with kindness, gentleness and humour, Mr Murali Menon teased out the main doubts, questions and points. Our Inspiring and Victorious students definitely benefit immensely from the non-judgemental, frank open talks.
